Construction consortium Hercuton / Remco Ruimtebouw is realising the new, modern distribution centre for LIS Logistics b.v. at Bedrijvenpark Stichtsekant in Almere.

Design & Build

The high-quality new development has a surface area of 34,365 sq.m. from which LIS Logistics b.v. rents almost 19,000 sq.m. The remaining approx. 15,000 sq.m. is available for rent as from mid 2021. Bouwcombinatie Hercuton / Remco Ruimtebouw has advised and assisted LIS Logistics b.v. in finding this right location. In close cooperation with LIS Logistics b.v., the building consortium took care of the design and delivered the new building turn-key. GARBE Industrial Real Estate GmbH, represented in this transaction by its office in Amsterdam, is buying the building on behalf of one of its mandates.

The groundwork is currently in full swing. Immediately after the construction work starts, the pile driving work will be completed in Q2 2021. Of course there is also a lot of attention for sustainability. For example, the roof of the all-steel building has been made completely suitable for the future installation of solar panels. The distribution centre will be awarded the BREEAM Good sustainability label.

Building Quality Assurance Act

This distribution centre will also be realised in accordance with the Wkb (Quality Assurance for Building Act). In anticipation of this Act, the Hercuton / Remco Ruimtebouw building consortium has already realised several large logistics buildings in accordance with the Wkb. The big difference and advantage here is that processes are certified throughout the entire process. In addition, the quality is guaranteed from the outset by means of building files. In fact, we have been working on the delivery from day one. Each construction phase is checked immediately after completion by Seconed through Technical Inspection Services (TIS).
Advice and guidance

Bouwcombinatie Hercuton/Remco Ruimtebouw was advised in this transaction by Over Engh Vastgoed and 1530 Real Estate. They sold the development on behalf of the Bouwcombinatie to the German investor Garbe Industrial Real Estate GmbH. This was legally supervised by Lexence and technically by BOAG.
